A Love For Fruit

I was going to cut this plum up and give it to Brody in pieces but thought what the heck, lets see how it goes.
It's the first time he has ever had a plum and the first time he has ever had a whole fruit. He loved it!!! You should have seen him devouring it! Of course it landed on the floor several times but with the help from mommy he managed to eat most of it!
I think he gets that from Daddy. I have a select list of fruit that I eat on a consistent basis, banana's, strawberry's and apples! Broders has taken to most every fruit I have given him. Although, he has decided he doesn't really care for banana's anymore, I think because of the texture. His favorite right now is blueberries. He would probably eat a whole box of them if I let him! The thought of his diaper after a box of blueberries just makes me cringe! :)
Now that I am trying to give him a variety of fruits it is helping me to branch out a little. I figure it is time for a healthier diet!!! I read that diet and stress are two major things that lead to illness. I figure, I can't always do a whole lot with the stress in my life so I am committing to a healthier diet. (Did I actually say that???)

He's such a little picnic!!! I can attest to his love of Blueberries. He and Asher both. Glad he loves his fruit. Grandma G sure would encourage that one. And this nonnie is happy about the whole "healthy diet" stuff! Sure is never too early or late to start!!

I am not going to comment on healthy diets or eating fresh fruit. I have never been a fresh fruit eater; never buy it at a grocery store. But I do know that it is a healthful thing to add to your diet. Grandma ate enough fruit for both of us. She was a nut for fresh fruit. When she thought she was overdue in her pregnancy with Kenneth she craved plums and ate so many she got cramps and thought she was in labor and we made a nervous run to the hospital to no avail. His due date was Aug. 17 and he did not arrive until Oct. 5. I never did understand that one! I do,however, love canned fruit and cottage cheese with salt and pepper on it!! I keep canned fruit in my refrigerator all the time. But fresh fruit....ugh!

But, Brody, sweetheart, you just look "plum cute" wrestling with that big ole' plum and GG is glad that YOU like fruit! GOD BLESS YOU my "little Jack Horner who sat in the corner eating his Christmas pie and stuck in his thumb and pulled out a plum and said "WHAT A GOOD BOY AM I". And you really are a GOOD BOY my big little man!! Love you, GG

If Brody is like his Daddy - does that mean Matt drops his fruit on the floor and you have to pick it up?
Eating all that fruit means the little man will always be a "regular" guy!

Well, I suppose I should weigh in here and admit that he must get it from my side of the family ! I have always been a huge lover of fresh fruit and it appears the nut does not fall far from the tree. Lexie absolutely loves fruit (actually prefers it over any type of chips or candy) as do I and now little Brody Boy is joining the ranks. Way to go Brody--- love that fruit!:)

In that case, the nut REALLY doesn't fall far from the tree... his Daddy is a nut too!!!!!

Hummmmm, maybe that is why we go around singing "sometimes you feel like a "nut" sometimes ya don't!"
Oh well, Brody boy, everybody loves one type of "nut" or another!
