Who you are speaks so loudly I can't hear what you're saying.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

WOW!!!!
This quote speaks volumes and I feel it deep within me....

I heard this the other day on a video we were reviewing to show at a training for our foster parents. It really reminded me that I can teach Brody so many things through my words but I need to be so much more cognitive about what I am teach him through my actions.
A little scary :)
So many times I have ideas about who I would like to be. I can talk all I want about that person, but at the end of the day I can only hope that my actions have represented THAT person...
Especially when this little guy is at stake :)

SO true! What a great reminder to lead a life that you want your children follow. I think you are leading a life of compassion, love, caring and honesty that Brody will pick up on and emulate.

those are wonderful words my sweet daughter...and a great reminder....our actions do speak so much more than our words..... and i have truly been touched by your lack of talking or complaining and making the most out of situations in your life.....doing what needs to be done, with acceptance and grace...and strength.....and those things are wonderful examples for that "full of life and wonder" little boy. you are an amazing young women, cory....and i am proud of who you are and will continue to be.

You know the old saying... they talk the talk... but don't walk the walk! What you have written about is just that! We can "all" talk the talk... but it is much more difficult to "walk the walk". It really is leading by example and it is so easy to slip and fall short. You have reminded us all to be careful of "slipping" on the rocks of life. It is up to all of us to lock arms, hold hands, or reach down and lift each other up so each of us slips less often. We are all an example to each other and to our precious little ones.
Thank you Cory.. for reminding us to be the people we need to be and want to be. You are an example full of Gods grace.

Hey Cory,I think about this so often these days. Our little ones are taking in so much more than we realize; watching our everymove and listening (when they want :-)) to our words.
I agree with everyone else, your are a beautiful amazing woman, mother and friend. Brody is blessed to have you as a teacher.
