The Spirit of Christmas

I don't think I have ever appreciated a christmas tree more than I did this year! We actually hadn't bought a tree yet and were debating on whether we even should. Money has been tight and Matt has been working whatever is left of his hinder off :)
Well, a couple of nights ago a very generous couple of christmas angels delivered a beautiful christmas tree to our front door. What an amazing suprise!!!!!
We made Sunday a family day and decorated the tree, listened to christmas music, baked some cookies, and I even decided to make a delicious recipe that I had borrowed from Pam... cheesy chicken tortilla soup! It was a very special day and I thank everyone who added to it, from the bottom of my heart!!!!

and then of course Brody wanting to take all of the ornaments off the tree so that he can look at all of them again :)
Thank you mom and dad for your continuous love and generosity. What would we do without your sweet sweet souls.

Ohhh Cory, I am so proud of you and Matt (and Brody too) for hanging in there Sunday when it seemed like the Christmas supplies were not to be "found" and the day was slipping by, yet you forged on as a family and spun it into a wonderful book of memories. It goes to the strength and perseverance of your wonderful family of 3!
The story of the "Christmas tree" surprise made me cry, it is something you will ALWAYS remember. I am so proud of you for making the soup and planning and carrying out such a memorable "family time".
Love you guys,
Goonie
